History of Bénéteau Shipyard and the First 310
The Bénéteau shipyard, founded in 1884 by Benjamin Bénéteau, has a rich maritime history. Initially specialized in the construction of fishing boats, the shipyard has become the world leader in sailboat manufacturers. The First 310 was produced between 1990 and 1994 and was designed by the naval architecture firm Groupe Finot. This model has been very successful thanks to its versatility, equally at ease in cruising as in racing.
