Owner's comments
Scorpion 9 Sailboat for Sale
I am pleased to present my Scorpion 9 steel sailboat, a 1990 model from the talented shipyard Plataret and architect Stabili. My dimensions are 10.80 meters long by 3.45 meters wide, making me both spacious and maneuverable.
Equipment and Characteristics
My sailboat is equipped for sea adventures with a genoa, a staysail, a storm jib, a spinnaker, and a mainsail from 2017. For propulsion, I have a Nanni 4-cylinder 43HP engine with only 1329 hours of use, as well as a 2-stroke Mercury 2.5HP engine for the dinghy.
Navigation is facilitated by an ATOMS regulator, a Simrad autopilot, a Lowrance chartplotter/radar, and an Autohelm GPS compass. I also have a Danforth hi speed constellation compass, a fixed ASN VHF, and a portable VHF to stay connected at all times.
For onboard comfort, I have an access gangway, a deck shower, a quay water heater, and a Blue Smart 12V 30amp charger. The kitchen is equipped with a REFLEKS stove, a winter sail, a bimini, a 2-burner gas stove, and an ENO oven. The new electrical panel from 2020 ensures optimal energy management.
For sanitary needs, I have Jabsco toilets, and for night navigation, LED lights. Entertainment is provided by a BLU Sangean radio and a Pioneer CD/USB/Bluetooth radio. Power is supplied by 2 solar panels (100 and 75W) and 4 service batteries of 110Ah.
Safety and Comfort Equipment
For safety, I have an anemometer, a weather vane, a depth sounder, a Lofran windlass, 80 meters of chain, and 2 anchors. The stainless steel mast steps, the detachable stay, and the boomkin complete the equipment.

Specializing in steel boats, Plataret has marked maritime history with models designed for durability and performance. The Scorpion 9, produced between the 1980s and 1990s, is an emblematic example of their expertise.
History of the Scorpion 9 Model
The Scorpion 9 is a model that has known great success thanks to its innovative design and versatility. Designed for couple or family trips, it offers an excellent compromise between space and maneuverability. Its success is explained by its ability to navigate both coastal waters and offshore, making it a preferred choice for sailing enthusiasts.
Why This Boat is Interesting?
The Scorpion 9 is particularly interesting for several reasons. First, its Nanni 4-cylinder 43HP engine is still in excellent condition with only 1329 hours of use, guaranteeing optimal reliability. Then, its complete equipment in navigation electronics, such as the Lowrance chartplotter/radar and the Simrad autopilot, makes it a boat ready for sea adventures. Moreover, its onboard comfort, with equipment such as the REFLEKS stove and the quay water heater, makes it ideal for extended trips. Finally, its spacious design with 2 cabins and a maximum capacity of 8 passengers makes it a perfect choice for couple or family trips.
