Detailed Description of my Sailboat OCEANIS 473 Clipper
I am selling my magnificent sloop-rigged OCEANIS 473 Clipper, a 3-cabin version that combines comfort and performance. This model is particularly appreciated for its elegant design and sailing performance.
Technical Specifications
My OCEANIS 473 Clipper measures 14.15 meters in length for 4.31 meters in width, with a draft of 2.10 meters and an air draft of 18.10 meters. It weighs 11.5 tons and has a cast iron keel of 3.3 tons. The headroom is 1.99 meters, offering a comfortable living space.
It is equipped with 235 liters of diesel and 600 liters of water distributed in three tanks. The headroom of 1.99 meters allows for easy movement inside.
Interior and Comfort
My sailboat has 3 cabins, including an owner's forward cabin with a custom Maldives mattress from 2021 and blackout blinds. There are also 2 bathrooms, one with an electric toilet with a large bowl installed in 2021 and one with a manual toilet with a black water tank.
The L-shaped kitchen is equipped with a stove, an oven (2021), a microwave, two refrigerators including a frigoboat, and a double sink. The convertible saloon offers white leather upholstery and numerous amenities. All floors were renovated in 2022 with 4 layers.
Propulsion and Engine
The Yanmar 100 HP diesel engine has 2424 hours of operation and a consumption of 3 liters/hour at 2200 rpm. The propeller shaft, the engine control/inverter handle (changed in 2021), the alternator booster, the hydrolube ring and Volvo seal (changed in 2019), and the Maxprop propeller ensure reliable propulsion.
A Volvo QL BP800 5 kW bow thruster and an electric windlass Leroy Saumer complete the equipment.
Rigging
The standing rigging was changed in 2021. The sails include a Dacron high-tenacity mainsail furling (2023) of 22.78 m², a furling genoa (2022) of 59 m², a Code D (2024) with FX 2500 furler (2024) of 103.27 m², a Gennaker, and a furling staysail on the forestay (2009) of 26.25 m².
Navigation Aids
For navigation, my sailboat is equipped with a GPS ECHOMAP GARMIN 102 SV (2024), an AIS (2024), an autopilot Raymarine J400 (2003) with display (2017), a complete I70S pack (2024) including wind vane, anemometer, depth sounder, log, and sea water temperature, with I70S display above the chart table.
A Raymarine repeater in the saloon, a Raymarine i50 Tridata starboard repeater (2022), a VHF antenna, a Navicom RT 650 VHF (2010) with AIS receiver and remote combination, a portable RT 411 VHF with charger, a Raymarine radar (screen in the saloon), and 2 magnetic compasses complete the navigation equipment.
Equipment
My sailboat is equipped with a Highfield semi-rigid dinghy (2021) with a Yamaha 2.5 HP engine, a pivoting boom in stainless steel (2021), an electric winch (starboard), a stainless steel arch supporting two photovoltaic panels of 120W each (2010).
It has 3 VARTA service batteries of 140Ah (2019 and 2025), an engine battery of 110Ah (2021), a thruster battery of 180Ah (2021), a battery charger and a battery manager, an MPTT regulator (2019), a 3500 W sine wave converter, a bimini with protective cover, a roof cap, 2 wheelhouse covers, a TV antenna, a VDO car radio, a Hook § Moor fairlead, a standard gaff, 8 fenders with protective covers, 4 dock fenders, a boarding ladder, a boarding buoy, and an AEROTERM FLOW 5 DE 2025 heater.
Safety
For safety, my sailboat is equipped with a PLASTIMO Transocean 6-person survival suit (February 2018, revised on April 19, 2024), an EPIRB beacon, lifelines changed in 2021, nets installed in 2024, two cagnards installed in 2024, 8 self-inflating life jackets (revised in 2024), a lifeline, 4 harnesses, 2 bathing ladders (1 rigid and 1 flexible), a horseshoe buoy with righting light, a life buoy set with floating line, and an anchor of 20 kg with 60 meters of chain of Ø 10.
Why is this boat interesting to buy?
My OCEANIS 473 Clipper is a highly sought-after model for several reasons. First, it offers exceptional comfort thanks to its 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms, one with an electric toilet. Additionally, it is equipped with a well-equipped kitchen and a convertible saloon with white leather upholstery.
In terms of navigation, it has a GPS ECHOMAP GARMIN 102 SV (2024), an AIS (2024), and an autopilot Raymarine J400. The rigging is also of high quality, with recent sails and a standing rigging changed in 2021.
Finally, my sailboat is equipped with numerous safety and comfort amenities, such as an AEROTERM FLOW 5 DE 2025 heater, a Volvo QL BP800 5 kW bow thruster, and an electric windlass Leroy Saumer. All these elements make my OCEANIS 473 Clipper an ideal choice for those looking for a performant, comfortable, and safe sailboat.
