Owner's comments

ILES SOUS LE VENT
  • An Exceptional Boat for Sale

    The owner tells us:

I am delighted to present my Isles Sous le Vent, a rare model from the Tournier shipyard in Soubise (17), built in 1997. This boat stands out with its long keel and weighted centerboard system (2.20m / 1.20m), with a lead keel. It is rigged as a schooner and fitted with two double aft cabins, a large central saloon with a single berth on the starboard side, as well as a Refleks fuel stove to be serviced, and a workshop at the bow.

    Maintenance and Equipment

The seacocks, valves, and bilge pumps were replaced in 2017. The sails are new or recent, and the engine and propeller shaft were changed in 2019. The electrical panel was completely redone in 2019, and the boat has recent batteries with a Victron BMV 702 monitor (2 x service batteries 140 A/h 2022, 1 engine battery 90A/h 2023), a Mastervolt Ivo compact 12/53-3 charger with dock connection, and photovoltaic panels on the aft platform.

    Electronics and Comfort

The electronics are complete with a Humminbird Helix 9 plotter from 2018, installed on the chart table and in the cockpit. The boat is equipped with a Dometic 2-burner stove (2017), a 300L fresh water tank, electric toilets (2024), a black water tank, a Isotemp water heater, and a CD player.

    Safety and Equipment

The offshore gear includes a Bombard survival raft from 2010 for 8 people (last revision 2023), a main anchor of 60 meters, a secondary anchor, and an electric Maxell HRC 10 windlass from 2018 with hand-held remote and cockpit control.

    History of the Tournier Shipyard

The philosophy of the Tournier shipyard is quite simple: after a few years of experience in the construction of monohulls (including an ULDB), it is now nearly 30 years that we have been building multihulls, some of which have completed three circumnavigations to date... totaling over 81,000 miles!

History of the Isles Sous le Vent Model

The Isles Sous le Vent model was designed to combine passion, reliability, and performance. It is appreciated for its robust design and sea performance, making it a preferred choice for offshore sailing enthusiasts.

    Why is this boat interesting?

The Isles Sous le Vent is particularly interesting thanks to its numerous recent equipment and rigorous maintenance. The new or recent sails, the engine and propeller shaft changed in 2019, as well as the electrical panel redone the same year, guarantee safe and pleasant sailing. Moreover, the recent batteries and photovoltaic panels offer appreciable energy autonomy. Finally, the complete offshore gear, including a recent survival raft, ensures optimal safety at sea.

Invoices and visit upon request. Last hull cleaning in May 2025.
