Owner's comments
Built in 24 units, the PRIVILEGE 585 sailing catamaran has established itself as a Safe Bet in terms of build quality, finish, and ability to age well over time.
With 4 owner’s double cabins and 2 forward crew berths, this version is particularly unique as it features the galley up, open to the saloon; the 2 large fridges remain in the starboard passageway. The rounded saloon with its telescopic table still has its original fine beige leather bench and exudes cozy refinement thanks to its cherry woodwork, a hallmark of PRIVILEGE.
The cockpit also features a rare option on the PRIVILEGE 585: a true rigid hardtop rather than a stainless steel bimini. The helm station offers perfect visibility and optimal protection in terms of safety for short-handed sailing. The teak will require some refreshing, with a few maintenance costs to plan for; the standing rigging is original, which will justify an attractive selling price!
This PRIVILEGE 585 cruising catamaran has always been used privately by its current owners in the Mediterranean, maintained year-round by its mechanic, and winterized annually in Tunisia. Equipped with 2 Yanmar 160HP engines and folding propellers, it is well-equipped: 2 generators, 2 watermakers, solar panels, 2 autopilots, a 2021 Hydranet mainsail, a 2026 genoa, satellite antenna, reversible air conditioning...
On the comfort and leisure side, a Bauer diving compressor, a hydraulic swim platform, a 2022 360 tender— in short: a Safe Bet in a confusing and diverse market!
