A Fast and Versatile Cruising Catamaran
Always very popular in the market for fast cruising catamarans, this CATANA 50 from 2011 was managed by the company Dream Yacht Charter in Martinique for rentals from 2012 to 2016.
A Complete Refit for Safe Navigation
A complete refit was carried out during the first six months of 2017 to repair the shortcomings of the rental and complete its equipment to make it a safe and comfortable boat for a long-distance cruising program. This program was limited to exploring the Caribbean arc, the Atlantic USA, and the Atlantic Canada as it was interrupted by COVID 19. A repatriation by cargo during the pandemic allowed it to be brought back to the Mediterranean.
Optimized Sails and Design
A set of 2017 sails including mainsail, solent, and gennaker allows for rather dynamic sailing with perfect visibility thanks to the 2 steering stations on the console at the rear. The 2 centreboards offer a very appreciable windward performance.
A Comfortable and Bright Interior Layout
LOUARN is a 4 double cabin version, with the 2 aft ones having separate beds that can be converted, and 2 forward, each with a bathroom. The saloon is bright, treated in light wood, with an open U-shaped kitchen facing the cockpit, very appreciable and very well equipped. It faces the real chart table, oriented towards the front and an L-shaped saloon with its foldable and telescopic table.
Complete Equipment for Long-Distance Cruising
On the equipment side, it meets the needs of long-distance cruising with generator, watermaker, solar panels, fridge, and freezer, ice maker, and complete electronics with Iridium, etc. The 2 Volvo engines of 75 hp offer a reasonable consumption of 4.5L/H each at 7 knots.
