The owner tells us:
I am selling my DUFOUR 40 PERFORMANCE purchased in 2021 with which I sailed in the Mediterranean before preparing it for a transatlantic in 2024 (Arc Antilles). Back in Metropolitan France, it is currently stored on land and is ready to go again after some cosmetic and electrical work to be planned (mast light cable and mooring lights).
It is a 2-cabin version with a deep draft, an enlarged forward cabin bed, a large shower separate from the toilet, and a WEBASTO air heating system.
Its standing rigging was changed in 2018 and its DCX sails date from 2021.
It is energy autonomous (4 x 400W solar panels with VICTRON ENERGY MPPT regulator) and is equipped with 3 x 110 Ah service batteries from 2024 and a 90 Ah engine battery.

History of the Dufour shipyard
The Dufour shipyard, founded in 1964 by Michel Dufour in La Rochelle, is one of the most renowned shipyards in France. The shipyard has produced quality boats, combining performance and comfort. The Dufour 40, launched at the beginning of the 2000s, embodies the alliance of performance and comfort, claimed by the Rochelaise shipyard. Firstborn of the new Dufour range, it quickly seduced boaters and racers, winning the title of "Sailboat of the Year 2003". Designed by the Franco-Italian duo Umberto Felci (hull) and Patrick Roséo (deck and fittings), this monohull of nearly 12 meters is aimed at both cruising enthusiasts and racing enthusiasts.
