Owner's comments
Used Chebec for sale
I am offering for sale my Chebec, built by the Tung Hwa shipyard in Taiwan for the renowned naval architect Claude GRAFF, a bluewater cruising yacht combining robustness, elegance, and performance. This boat, inspired by the traditional designs of chebecs, is designed for long passages and liveaboard life with complete peace of mind.
Technical specifications and dimensions
This used sailing yacht has overall dimensions of 19.80 metres in length and 4.10 metres in beam, with a gross tonnage of 24.75 tonnes. Its reinforced polyester laminated hull is built in a single piece, with varying thickness: 60 mm at the keel sole and 17 mm at the planking, ensuring a strong and durable structure. The teak deck, with a thickness of 10 mm, rests on 20 mm marine plywood, scarfed for optimal strength. The stainless steel bolts and bronze fasteners complete this meticulous construction.
In terms of rigging, this Chebec features a 20-metre mainmast and a 16-metre mizzen mast. Its sail inventory includes:
The sails are recent or barely used, ensuring optimal performance.
Interior layout and comfort
The interior of this yacht is entirely crafted from solid Burmese teak and teak marine plywood, offering a warm and durable setting. This Chebec features 3 cabins and 8 berths, ideal for crews or families.
The galley in the passageway is equipped with a gimbaled 4-burner stove (3 gas and 1 electric) with a gas oven, a double sink, and ample storage for provisions and tableware. A large Frigomar refrigerator and freezer ensures food preservation in all conditions.
The saloon, whose upholstery has been fully refurbished, can accommodate 10 to 12 people around a large table, perfect for family meals or gatherings with friends. A wide passageway provides access to the various living spaces, while a chart table in the passageway is equipped with all navigation instruments: GPS, radar, chartplotter, depth sounder, autopilot, and VHF. A repeater is also installed in the cockpit for easy access to navigation data.
Exterior and deck equipment
This Chebec features a spacious and secure cockpit, ideal for children and outdoor socialising. It can accommodate 8 to 10 people around a foldable table, perfect for meals or drinks. The large wheel steering allows for safe helming, with direct access to the navigation instrument repeaters.
Behind the cockpit, a stern deck with grating provides an ideal space for napping, diving, or fishing. Access to the boat is via two companionways: one located in the cockpit and the other behind the mainmast, at the centre of the boat.
In terms of anchoring equipment, this yacht is fitted with an electric Lawrence windlass, two CQR anchors, and 100 metres of chain for the main anchor, supplemented by 50 metres of chain on rope for the second anchor. The anchor locker has been refurbished and reinforced to hold up to 200 metres of 12 mm chain.
Recent renovations and maintenance
This Chebec has undergone numerous renovations to ensure its good overall condition and onboard comfort:
